アメリカの女性はキャリアが大切です。1950年代に女性は家にいました。OLをする人もいましたか
何時も仕事で女性は男性の下でした。1980年代に女性は仕事を中心とするようになりました。
女性にとって子は大切じゃなくなりました。1980 年代の子は‘Generation X’と ‘latch-key kids’と言ました。その結果現代の女性は家庭と仕事のキャリアを両立して。でもほんとうに難しいです。今後の母と子の関係はGeneration Xのように反抗しなく、もっと希望が持てます.



The Mother-Child Relationship in American Families

A successful career is very important to the American woman. In the 1950’s, a woman’s place was in the home. During that era, sometimes a woman could get a job as an Office Lady (assistant, stenographer), but in the workplace she was always considered “below” men. Later on, in the 1980’s a good career became the focus for women. Women no longer considered their children to be the most important things in their lives. The children and teenagers of the 1980’s became known as “Generation X” or the “Latch-key kids.” They were extremely rebellious/destructive/insecure. As a result, the modern woman now tries to achieve a balance between work and children. The relationship between mother and child of the new millennium is
more hopeful and not as destructive as Generation X.

家族関係
私の家族は大きいです。父と母と三人の弟がいます。母の家族は四 人兄弟、父のは六人兄弟。祖母は十六歳で結婚しました。その結果ふつうのアメリカの祖父母に対して私の祖父母はほんとうに若いです。私の父が十八歳の時に父のお母さんは死ました。そして祖父は再婚しました。
新しいお祖母ちゃんほんとうに優しいです。
全員合わせて 四十七人のいとこがいます。
クリスマスや感謝祭やイースターは私達はみんなで一緒に祝っています。いつもにぎやかで楽しいです。

Family Relationships
My family is very large. I have a dad, mom, and three younger brothers. My mom has 4 siblings, and my dad has 6. My mom’s mom got married at 16, so compared to the average American grandparents, my grandparents are really young. My dad’s mom died when he was 18 years old. But my grandpa Burke remarried, and my new grandmother is very kind. So then, altogether I have 47 1st cousins. At Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter we all get together. It’s always loud and fun!

最悪のデート

アメリカの大学生のデートはちょっとむずかしいです。男の人が女の人をデートにさそう時もあれば女の人が男の人をさそう時もあります。たくさんの大学生の男の人はほんきじゃないのでどんあ女の人でもいいと思っています。またたくさんの大学生の女性は楽しいの時をもとあています。

そして私のデートはいい時もあれば、悪い時もあります。デートをすることは ガームのようです。先月に最悪のデートがありました。音楽学科の大学院生クールなタｲプの男の人でした。背が高く、にぎやかで、サックスフｵンｶﾞ上手で、青い目でした。その人は私をデートにさそいました。.

始めはかんぺっきなデートと思いました。彼の家に行きました。最初に、彼は夕食を作ってくれました。次に私達は映画を見ました。そして、私達は坐って話していました。生活と家族とルームメートについて話しまっていました。楽しかった！　そしてかれは私のルームメートの電話番号を頼んだ。びっくりました。私とのデートのでルームメートの電話番号を頼なんで！しんぎられない！

来月が先月よりいいことを望みます。

The Worst Date Ever
Dating in American Colleges can be a bit difficult. Sometimes guys ask girls out, and sometimes girls ask guys out. I think many college guys are not really serious right now, so they think any type of girl is ok. Also, many college girls are not serious, but go out to have a good time.

So then, I've had some good dating experiences and some bad ones. Dating is like playing a game in that way. Last month, I had the absolute worst date ever. A tall, cool, blue-eyed, talented, saxaphone playing, Music School Graduate Student asked me out.

At the beginning, I thought it was the perfect date. I went over to his house, and first he cooked me dinner. Then we watched a movie. Then we sat and talked about life, and family, and roommates. It was a lot of fun! Then he asked me for my roommate's number. I was so surprised! He was just dating me to get my roommate's number! I couldn't believe it!

I hope next month goes better.

ピアグループ

　　アメリカのピ高校にはたくさんのピアグループがあります。パンクロッカーやオタクやチアガールやスケーターやスポーツ好き人学生のグルプがあります。
　　私の高校での経験はちょっと違います。私の高校は家で私たち兄弟を教えることに決めました。高校のは家で勉強するという意味です。それから兄弟とともに遊びました。うらにれにハーフ・パイプを作ってスケートボードをしました。たくさん学生はいつも庭にあったそして友達になりました。懐かしい。
　　それぞれ私のピアグループはスケーターになりました。でも大学の生違いです。ほんとうに好かった。

America's High Schools have a lot of peer groups. The Punks, the Geeks, the Cheeleaders, the Skaters, and the Jocks are some of these student groups.
My Highschool experience was a bit different. My younger brothers and I studied at home, here it's called 'homeschooled'. In our backyard, we built a half-pipe to go skateboarding on. Lots of kids were always in our backyard, and we made a lot of friends that were skaters. mmmm. Good times.
So, then I guess my peer group in high school became the skater kids. But college life is a lot different. For that, I'm really glad.
